The Sou'Wester Lodge: Vintage Travel trailers for nightly rental

Along the pacific coast in the town of Seaview, Washington, stands the Sou’wester Lodge. This resting spot is full of history and creativity and consists of a lodge, vintage trailer park, RV camping ground and cabins.
The lodge building was built in 1892 by then U.S. senator Henry Wilson Corbett, a supporter of the arts. The vintage trailer collection was started by the previous owners, Len and Miriam Atkins. Unfortunately, the current owner, Thandi Rosenbaum, doesn't know much about the history of the vintage trailers on  the property.

Back in the day, when travel trailers were not looked down upon, but instead afforded  freedom – and a highly esteemed way of life – there was the Spartan Manor travel trailer. Nestled in the trees behind the Sou'wester lodge is a nice big Spartan Royal Mansion dubbed the Picnic Trailer. Private and mellow, the funky vintage trailer is a solace seeker's dream.
This trailer is classified as a “standard park model.” Its wonderfully vintage look really fits in with the surroundings.
"The Picnic" is set between trees behind the lodge, and has a full kitchen with plenty of counter space. Though there’s no toaster or oven, the gas stove will take care of your cooking needs.
It also features a separate living room with two love seats.
The record player actually works despite its age, and comes with a few loaner records you can choose from.
The bathroom is equipped with running water and a curtain-covered bathtub.
The long hallway of the picnic trailer is simple but elegant and the bright blue bed cover adds an eye-catching display. The full bed is invitingly cozy and surrounded by windows that let in lots of light.
It turns into a cozy sleeping area when the curtains are drawn.
The cute bedside lamp near the bed makes you look forward to some bedtime reading .
If you're a writer, an artist, a poet, a free thinker, a philosopher, or a vintage trailer lover, this place is for you. The Sou'wester Lodge offers weekly residencies for artists at a discounted rate.
