Meet The Grand Daddy: A rooftop trailer park in South Africa

The tourist city of Cape Town, in South Africa, is home to the biggest surprise for Airstream lovers, The Grand Daddy Hotel. The rooftop trailer park is situated on Long Street, one of the coolest streets in the city, full of restaurants, bars, craft shops and tattoo studios. This ingenious trailer park features seven retro Airstreams decorated in amazing themes which "collectively reflect the Ultimate South African road trip."

The aluminum of these seven vintage Airstreams colonizes the rooftop of this Boutique hotel and creates an amazing display set beneath the background of Table Mountain.  

Each of the seven Airstreams in this penthouse trailer park was renovated by a local designer after being brought over from the United States, and makes for an accommodation destination like no other. The two-sleeper trailer suites feature everything a honeymooning couple or tiny family could need, with queen-sized beds and all the expected amenities from a hotel stay – showers included.
 
1. Winelands 

This is the largest of the Airstreams at the Grand Daddy rooftop trailer park. 

It features a large painting of the vineyards of South Africa and an open plan bedroom.

We could see how it'd be tempting to just stay indoors all the time with accommodations like this. But do take the time for a trip to the winelands yourself.
