330-square-footer's knotted wood interior walls make the most enchanting retreat

Park model homes, homes that are built for recreational use only and not designed to be lived in year-round, are popping up in campgrounds and RV parks around the country. Rich Daniels of Rich's Portable Cabins (PRC) states that he got into the park model/tiny home industry in 1999 when he noticed that the timber industry was suffering.
PRC is located in Oregon and recently purchased a timber mill in Idaho. With the company steadily growing, Daniels seeks to turn out quality park model homes and tiny homes for people across the country. The Alaskan cabin featured below has 330 square feet (27.87 square meters) of luxurious space that makes camping seem more like glamping.

The walls and ceiling are wood, and laminate is used on the floor. The kitchen and living room space flows together, helping to create an open feel to the cabin.
The kitchen has hickory cabinets. A full-sized range and stainless steel sink make the galley style kitchen great for cooking in.
The bathroom has plenty of space. The stand-up shower is tucked into the corner, and the sink has some counter space.
The bedroom is large enough for a queen-sized bed and has a built-in dresser.
The floor plan shows how plenty of space is left to walk around the bed if a queen-sized one is placed in the room. The galley kitchen layout maximizes the space in the front of the cabin.
The covered porch out front is great for sitting on in the morning or at the end of the day. This cabin keeps camping from being rustic and makes it more of a wonderful retreat. For a family where some want to camp and others want the luxury of a hotel room, the Alaskan makes a great compromise.
