Peek inside a 1977 Airstream and admire its furnishings – the kitchen's a gem

Charleston, South Carolina, is known for its historic charm, incredible food and breath-taking Spanish moss. It boasts the title "Top 3 Food and Wine" destinations in the country and is an absolutely necessary stop for foodies. When you are not out exploring the streets lined with wonderfully preserved examples of classic architecture, you can be walking the lengths of beaches lined with palm trees. The best part is that there is a wonderfully renovated 1977 Airstream for you to call home during your stay.
This vintage Airstream is available to rent through Airbnb, and she goes by the name of Alice. Alice has recently undergone a major renovation, leaving her fresh, modern and environmentally friendly. This American classic is located in the West Ashley suburb, a neighborhood characterized by its unique array of homes that were built from the 1920s through the 1950s. West Ashley is only five miles from downtown and 11 miles to the beach, making it the perfect location for the full Charleston experience.

Two people will feel completely at home in Alice. The Airstream is very open, making it easy to move around without bumping into one another. Here you see the two soft, twin-sized beds -- each topped with fresh, lux linens.
The kitchen features a microwave, small fridge and Keurig coffee pot. The host makes sure to provide you with fruit, yogurt and protein bars for a quick breakfast before hitting the town.
We love how much storage space there is in Alice. Kick back and watch some TV, or enjoy one of the many books on the history of Charleston located throughout the camper.
The hosts are amiable locals always willing to chat about the area with their guests, but they also make sure to leave out plenty of informational materials. This table is perfect for having a quick meal or for sitting down and planning your day.
Treat yourself to a relaxing hot shower. Soft Turkish towels, soaps and body care products are provided for your convenience.
The hosts open their door in the morning so you can have the opportunity to grab a cup of coffee and mingle with the other guests...
