Check out how this family turned their old toy hauler into a cozy home for four

It is often hard to travel when you work full-time, when the kids have to go to school, and when you have a house to keep up with and bills to pay. How does one go out and see the world when most only dedicate a couple of weeks in the year for a well-deserved vacation? Is it possible to leave everything else behind to start a completely new life, void of all the things that keep you tied down to one place? Amy, Jeff, their two kids, and two dogs found the perfect solution: their old toy hauler trailer.
The couple wanted to make sure that their two kids had a chance to see and experience the world around them. Through the fond memories of their travels in Europe, a desire to teach their children something new, and a passion for adventure, they set out to renovate their RV and hit the road. They sold most of their belongings and downsized from their 1880-square-foot (175-square-meter) house to the petite size of 260 square feet (24 square meters). The creative ways they transformed their trailer make for the best part of their story.

The original interior needed a lot of work before it could be livable. While the space was nice and open, all of the brown made it seem a lot smaller than it actually was.
Once again, a bucket of white paint saves the day. After the paint job, the whole interior looked far more contemporary.
With such an open floor plan, anything is possible. The family made sure to include a couch big enough for the four of them and a rug soft on the feet. The bunk bed is always a fun experience for the kids.
