Looking for a simple, rustic retreat? The Bear Cabin, sold by Hideaway Cabins in Hendersonville, North Carolina, is the perfect little retreat. It’s recently been updated with a host of new options such as increased lighting, a separate laundry room and optional dormers.
The exterior, shown below, exemplifies the classic cabin with its rustic log exterior and green metal roof. A spacious porch addition accommodates people who like to spend time outside. It even has space for outside dining with an umbrella table. Double doors lead into the main living area.
This classic layout allows for a loft option, shown below. The stone electric fireplace with a mantel area adds a north-woods feel. The knotted-wood ceiling and walls add to the earthy aesthetic. The kitchen is set back separately, which keeps cooking noises away from the living area.
The photo below shows the extensive light that pours into the space, creating an extremely open feel. There is enough space for a dining area and sofa, as well. The countertop from the kitchen wraps around slightly to create a bit of a serving area.
The kitchen comes with a full-sized oven, microwave and refrigerator. The basic wooden cabinetry carries the organic feel through the space.
The bedroom has space to sleep two. A modest shelf above the bed can hold decorations.
The bathroom features all the essentials. The pristine porcelain makes for a striking contrast with the beautiful knotted-wood walls, as does the black counter.
